i am having some issue breaking the statues this time but last time i equiped the pickaxe and moved toward it and it broke but now it has no option to do so ive tried a lot of things charging it spells ranged nothing any help would be great

i was fighting some of the summoned slimes from the first dungeon and i got low life so i went upstairs and the slimes looked like they went upstairs with me but i couldnt attack them then i rested and went back down to kill them but i couldnt attack them when i went down either but they were still there so i saved and exited and when i came back i couldnt find any monsters in the dungeon except the boss

issue just ran into is if you flee upstairs to avoid dieing and go back down stairs the monsters stop spawning
